MadPilot Productions blog, online payments and code

Posted on 06/04/2008 in News — No comments

I was making some updates to the MadPilot Productions website, and I thought it time to move the News section into a proper blog. Now that MadPilot is well and truly back in the swing of things, much more news should be coming through, so it makes sense for me to be able publish it — It also means that you, my loving audience can post comments and keep up a dialogue.

As a challenge, I decided to write the blog engine from scratch in Ruby on Rails and after a weekend of hacking, here we are! I have used a number of the fantastic gems that are out there to create a pretty full featured blogging engine, which I am planning on releasing…

Community Code

The pre-announcement of the blog engine is a pretty good spot to announce the launch of MadPilot Code. From time-to-time, if I think that a piece of code may be of use to the public, I will release it here. To start with, I have released the Twitteresce project — a J2ME mobile twitter application and saasu_connect — a Rails library for accessing your accounts on Saasu.com.

MadPilot Code is running on Trac, so please submit bug reports if you find anything.

Pay your invoices online

Finally, if you are a MadPilot customer, you can now pay your invoices online via credit card. All you need is you email address and your invoice number, oh and the MadPilot Payment page. Please note, that credit card transactions do incur a 3% surcharge

So, don't forget to add the new MadPilot blog to your RSS reader, so you don't miss out on all the latest MadPilot news, and don't be shy — leave a message!
